I love red and I love green but I have yet to figure out a way to put them together without looking like a Christmas tree – especially at this time of year. I love how Christine from My Style Pill paired an olive-colored vest-jacket-thing with a darker red pair of cords (and threw in two of my favorite things: stripes and chunky necklaces). And I think this cool, minty green belt might work well with all of the bright, orangey-red in my closet.

There’s no shortage of shiny, shimmery stuff this time of year and I’m dying to wear it to any remotely-holiday-related event in the coming month. I already have a ton of it bursting out of my closet and, since I work at home, I can’t wait to wear it all out of the house.

Like a magpie, I’m having a hard time resisting the lovely of these high sheen metallics… It may be the time of year, with christmas lights twinkling on every corner. Champagne, Gold, Copper, Pewter, Silver or Gilver (thanks, Rachel Zoe) it’s glam holiday cheer wrapped in one shiny package.
